ARTS & CRAFTS
The Project’s youth clubs have qualified arts and crafts tutors who attend every session to engage young people in enjoyable activities such as decorations, interior design, murals, fashion design, as well as a host of general and festive activities developed to improve the young people’s creativity. The workers are very innovative and use a range of techniques and materials that help to familiarise young people with almost every aspect of art and craft practice.
DANCE
The Project has always had a huge reputation for Dance, and Trinity Dance Troop has represented at several local, regional, and national competitions with consistent success. The group has received professional dance tuition from a number of dance tutors, but the training and preparation of the group currently rests on the shoulders of Ashley Newsham. The interest generated by the strong dance following forced the Project to develop a 7-10 Year Old’s Dance Class which has now firmly established itself within the Project. Since its introduction in 2004 the class continues to receive a phenomenal attendance rate, and a great deal of support from community members.
The standard of the ‘little dancers’ has enabled them to emulate the Dance Troop and support them in a recent Community Show, which received an attendance of over 200 people.

ACTIVITIES
As well as providing a diverse range of centre based activities, the Project strives to provide as many off-site trips / activities as possible. Every year local young people are presented with the opportunity to enjoy regular bowling, quasar and cinema trips, as well as an extensive Summer Activity plan that includes shopping trips, visits to various free sites such as Roath Park, learning Circus Skills and the Big Pit, and usually closes with a high profile activity such as Oakwood Park.
The Project’s staff team also recognises the importance of educational and learning based activities. In the past young people have learned about fire safety, drug and alcohol misuse and awareness, sexual health, Police history, Drama, Motor Mechanics, Healthy Living and Eating, and DJ Skills.
